I’m Kirsty, 51 and finally taking the plunge into my lifelong dream.
At ROOTS, we believe that home should feel like a deep breath — calm, comforting, and filled with small moments of beauty. Our shop in Worle, Weston-super-Mare, brings together thoughtfully chosen homewares, gifts, stationery and seasonal touches to help you create a space that feels truly yours.
After 30 years in retail and event management — from designing Halloween attractions to installing
beautifully decorated Christmas trees at the family farm I work for — I’m opening my very own shop:
ROOTS — Beautifully Grounded Living.
My background has always been rooted in art and creativity, and
I didn’t want to get into my later years
thinking “why didn’t I do it?”
So here I am, choosing courage, feeling a little nervous, but pouring all my excitable energy into something that feels truly mine.
I’m incredibly lucky to have my beautiful daughter and husband cheering me on every step of the way. My lovely friends are all super excited too, and my family have wrapped around me with so much support. They all believe this is exactly where my buzzing ideas belong (!) and their faith in me means everything.
